Liczbnik is a free online calculator service built for users in Poland. Over 100 tools across 26 categories and 3 languages (Polish, English, Ukrainian) covering taxes, salaries, loans, social insurance, health and much more — no registration required, no ads obscuring results, no hidden charges.
Our mission
Liczbnik was built so that anyone can quickly and reliably check their financial, tax or health figures — without needing a specialist for everyday questions. We believe access to accurate calculation tools should not be a privilege. That is why all calculators are and will remain free, run entirely in the browser (no data is ever sent to a server), and are updated after every legislative change. Rates and thresholds reflect the law in force in 2026.
Our editorial approach
We build content and calculators in two stages: first we prepare a formula and description from a legal act or official notice, then we verify every rate and result against the primary source. Formulas are implemented as pure functions covered by unit tests, so a rate change does not introduce hidden regressions. We never state a figure “from memory” — every number has a traceable basis.
How we verify our data
Every calculator relies exclusively on official Polish legal and regulatory sources. Formulas are cross-checked against official simulators (e.g. the ZUS calculator and the Ministry of Finance e-Deklaracje system). Rates and thresholds are updated each January and immediately after significant legislative changes take effect. Update policy
We update data in two modes: every January we run a full review of contributions, PIT thresholds, the tax-free amount, VAT rates and the minimum wage, and on an ongoing basis we apply changes immediately after a significant legal act is published in the Journal of Laws. Each dataset carries metadata with its verification date.
Accuracy of results
We do our best to ensure results are correct and up to date. At the same time, individual tax and financial situations can be complex — Liczbnik does not replace consultation with a tax adviser, accountant or lawyer. Results should be treated as a guide for further action, not as a binding interpretation of the law. Found a bug? Let us know — we review every report.
