The Polish child tax credit (ulga na dziecko / ulga prorodzinna) lets parents reduce their annual income tax (PIT) by a fixed amount per child. The credit is higher for the third and subsequent children. Use this calculator to instantly see your total deduction and estimated tax refund.
For the first and second child the annual credit is 1 112.04 PLN (92.67 PLN × 12 months). The third child adds 2 000.04 PLN, and each subsequent child adds 2 700 PLN per year. For families with only one child an income cap applies: 56 000 PLN for single filers or 112 000 PLN for married couples. The calculator checks this cap and returns the allowable deduction and estimated refund.
A single parent earning 72 000 PLN per year with two children can deduct 2 × 1 112.04 PLN = 2 224.08 PLN from their PIT liability. If the calculated tax is 5 400 PLN, after the credit only 3 175.92 PLN is due.
